measurement Project
A manufacturer of high-density tape backup equipment needed a system to measure
tape reel dimensions to 0.0001" to ensure vendor conformity. The system must be easy
to use and highly accurate.
Result
We used a laser scanning micrometer and created a custom fixture for part
measurements. The system quickly scans the part and displays measurements and conformity
with specifications.
The system includes extensive diagnostics and a built-in repeatability test.
